The Millionair'es Cross, by Indie writer Sal Nudo, is an amazing tale that shows the deep lengths a person will go for when they are greedy. The story runs its course throughout the book being very realistic to what a person's choices are in life, what path they take, and the guilt that follows them for choosing one way over the other. I don't want to give anything away in the story but can tell you that there are a few twists when I had the expectation of something else happening, and some of these twists related to decisions that were just nature taking it's course - call it Karma, if you will. In life what comes around, goes around, but somehow, there is even a twist to that in the end! Great, captivating read from beginning to the very end. Lesson to be learned by all - be careful in the choices you make in life. All will be judged, whether good or bad.Product details

The Millionaire Cross Sal Nudo Books Reviews
Initially, Sal Nudo’s “The Millonaire’s Cross” reminded me of Scott Smith’s “A Simple Plan”. The plot is decidedly different but there is the same sense of how money pushes normal people to psychological extremes. How quickly we turn upon each other, how soon we are calculating and lying.
Nudo’s prose styling is reminiscent of Martin Amis but his narrative pacing feels more like John Grisham. He’s superb at turning the ratchet on the narrative tension. His characters are convincing and real.
What impressed me most was the dialogue. We get to know the brothers and the Millionaire through their conniving and justifications. The climactic exchange could have been lifted from a faster paced “Brothers Karamazov”.
Truly a top recommended book.

The Millionaire's Cross by Sal Nudo is a thriller-mystery that kind of breaks the mold of this genre. The main character, Alex, is a little more complex than the average thriller protagonist and Sal Nudo jumps out of the genre at times. This book is a very quick read and if this kind of genre-fiction is your thing, you will enjoy a book that's a little different but not wildly groundbreaking. Personally I'm not a genre-fiction fan but I was asked to review this and received a free copy of the book and although I would have liked the author to ratchet up the suspense more, the lack of real drama wasn't a deal-breaker for me since I could see that Nudo was writing a more subtle character study. The main character, Alex, is a middle-aged schlep that finds that he is on the brink of jaw-dropping cash if he plays his cards right. All and all, this is an interesting story written with crisp, journalistic prose.
This book is a hard one to review. It definitely held my interest, but there wasn't a satisfactory ending. The main character was not likeable. He basically killed several people and had a very blase attitude about it. Sort of "ok, he's dead, so guess I'll go home and take a nap." He also had a lot of tragic things happen in his life, but in no way did I feel sorry for him. What a selfish narcissistic jerk. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it did hold my attention long enough to finish it.
This is an awesome read and showcases the author's superb writing ability as he draws you in to a captivating narrative. A must read!!!
Sal Nudo has crafted a dark, but not too dark, tale of greed, guilt, and redemption. The main character has his life torn every which way by strange events that leave the reader wanting more. I found this to be a very enjoyable and easy read and I look forward to more from Sal Nudo.
While definitely having additional relevance to those with ties to the Champaign, Illinois area, by no means did this fact influence my enjoyment of this book. A bunch of twists and turns kept this novel moving along briskly, and there was a plot that had me guessing at the final outcome at many junctures along the way. I was conflicted as to whether I wanted things to work out well for the main character, and that was a good deal of the intrigue.
